Day 13

Wednesday May 15, 2013

Working from home today cause I got the Dr’s at 10:45. Itchin to see what my blood work results are.
The doctor said that my blood counts a great, platelets are good and everything is normal.

I’m scheduled to return for my 2nd cycle next week and do it all over again.

Everything was going great, couldn’t be better… Until the toilet handle broke.

 %^W@^!

I just got set up to relax and chill before I did another mile on the Gazelle. Now I gotta fix the toilet cause I’m not going to reach my hands in there to flush it every time. It’s a $5 fix that’ll take 5 minutes and I’m not even going to complain about it to my landlord cause it’s so petty.

%$^@!!!

That was easy, but I’m by no means a Plumber. Brian my heart goes out to you. I can only imagine the nasty ^&#% you must run into on the job. I was thinking I should replace the wax ring while I’m at it, but I’ll hold off until I have my immune system back because of the mess it’ll make. If you have a dog that drinks toilet water and you think hey that’s cool I don’t have to leave out a water bowl. Go into the bathroom and take the basin cover off and smell the water. Betcha leave the lid down from now on Genius!

Well I just finished up updating these posts and it’s 9:20pm. Time for a shower and I’m calling it a night.

I feel a lot better and I don't feel like I'm going to have a problem going to work tomorrow.

Day 12

Tuesday May 14, 2013

France got home around 3am and I’m still awake in pain. I can’t get comfortable. The shocking feelings just won’t let up.

France helped identify that the pain is coming from the hip biopsy target site and not my spine. That’s a relief. A backrub made my back and hips feel 100 times better and putting a pillow under my knees took the weight of my legs off of my hips.

There is no way with the pain that I’m still in and the little sleep I got that I can go to work. I can barely move. I need to wait till the Dr’s office opens and ask a few questions.

Right now I gotta eat something and take my meds.

This is an ass kickin’ is what this is.

Well I talked with the Dr. and the heartburn is being caused by some of the meds and because I stopped taking Prilosec in the hospital it caught up with me until I started taking it again. The pain is being caused by the effects of the Neulasta.  It’s going to recur time and time again sometimes worse than others. I just gotta hang tough and weather the storm and take my pain meds when I need them.

This changes my expectations of the Neulasta. It is an awesome drug that is helping me build my white blood cell count back. At the same time it kicks the @%&^ outta you!!!

My accident site on my back (lower lumbar) from 1990 is electrically charged with pain right now. Standing, sitting, laying, moving or staying still all hurt. So if anyone reading this wants to remember something about this process. You NEED these medicines, but you gotta fight your way through the pain. It may be a day long fight, but you gotta do it! I really don’t like taking these pain meds and I usually only take 1 before I go to bed to get me through the night. Today I took 1 at 5pm and 1 at 10pm. I’ll just rough it through.

Day 11

Monday May 13th, 2013

Today is my Granddaughter Makeyla’s Birthday.  She’s turning a big 4. Happy Birthday!!!

I’m at work today and I got here at 5:50am!

We have a walking path onsite here so what I need to do is plan my morning and walk a mile (2X round) after my morning work is done and another after lunch. I can walk another on the Gazelle when I get home.

I’m all set here with my face mask, hand cleaners and wipes, ready to go to work. And off to work I go.

Well I walked a mile around the track at work and met a couple of people that I haven’t met before. I thought I knew everyone here. They are setting up some of that outside exercise equipment along the walking path.

The day got busier than I thought and I didn’t get to walk my second mile, but that’s ok cause I can make it up later.

I feel  like my hips and legs are getting stiff. Starting to feel a little uncomfortable and I’m having a nasty case of heartburn. By the way I’ve never had heartburn in my life.

Leaving work to go and do my blood work at Mt. Auburn.

I’m home now and the drive home was difficult with the pain from my legs and hips. France got me some Prilosec for the heartburn.

I’ll have to call the Dr. tomorrow cause the office is closed and find out about the heartburn and this pain which seems to be getting worse.

This is starting to feel like that game Operation where if you touch the sides you get a buzz. Well that is how my upper torso feels. It’s like its sinking into my hips and as it moves around I feel this electrical pulse every time it moves.

Well it’s time to call it a night. Gonna take my meds and stare at the ceiling.

Day 10

Sunday May 12, 2013

Sunday was a day of renewed energy!

After the Neulasta side effects wore off I have my appetite back. After my Tong Ren session my energy is back to normal and I can focus on picking up the slack from the past couple of days.

I walked 3 miles throughout the day on the Gazelle, drank lots of liquids and stayed on top of my meds.

I plan on going to work on Monday and seeing how a day at work goes.
